A little more southerly, towards the French border, lies the charming village of Daverdisse. Winding roads brought us to one of the venues, Au Dessus du Bie (situated above the Bie”, which is a small river) From the outside you might not immediately guess at the spaciousness and splendour of this estate. Unfortunately the day started out being a little misty, but we were nevertheless most impressed with what we saw. Bordering the estate of Au Dessus du Bie is a magnificent wheat field that defines the boundaries of the estate. Imagine the romantic photos you will be able to take there, especially while you are dining with your guests just as the sun is setting.
Au Dessus du Bie has all sorts of lovely sites on the estate, and this is what makes it so extraordinary. For example, apart from the “main residence” there are also dwellings with two large bedrooms, which would be ideal as a bridal suite, or for the parents of the bride to stay at. And there is an old grain silo, and a half-open barn with an outdoor kitchen! You can spend the night here with up to 34 people.
