For many brides, the search for the perfect wedding dress is incredibly fun but also very exciting. What I often hear from my brides is that they usually succeed at the first store and it was often the very first dress they put on. In addition, I also often hear that after a while they start to doubt .. "Is this really the wedding dress for me?" Do not worry: doubting the choice you made is very normal and not bad at all. Often if you think carefully, you can quickly throw your doubts overboard. It shows more how important you think the dress should be just perfect! That he is unique, that you feel feminine and at ease in it and of which everyone says WOW!

I would like to give you some tips on what to look for when choosing the perfect wedding dress, what type of wedding dresses you have and I like to share some of my favorite brands with you!

What should you pay attention to when buying a wedding dress?

Some points are very logical and perhaps even headers, but it's always good to have an overview of them.

  • Shop not too early, but also not too late. Too early, because the collections can still change. And too late, because then perhaps your perfect dress is no longer on time i.v. ordering and adjusting. Go looking 9 months in advance.
  • There is quite a big difference in service per bridal fashion store. Also the moment when you go shopping can make a difference. Saturdays are usually very busy, so keep this in mind. Google before you go to a certain bridal fashion store how the service is on-site .. this can prevent disappointments.
  • You can not make an appointment everywhere. If this is possible, do so. The other way around is the same: you can't walk in every store without an appointment.
  • Take the people you feel comfortable with and who understand your taste and do not pursue their own will.
  • You are not allowed to take pictures at most wedding fashion stores ... only if it is your definitive dress. Take photos if you have made your final choice.
  • Put on well-fitting (nude) lingerie that you can not see under your dress. Please also bring fine shoes / pumps to the height that you also want to wear on your wedding day. Be advised by the saleswoman.
  • Sometimes you can have a certain type of dress in mind. Think carefully about the style / theme of the day and whether your dress fits. A classic ball gown dress does not match well on a farm during your wedding day.
  • Also check whether the fabrics of your dress are nice for the day you have in mind. A tulle wedding dress can be very warm if you for example get married in southern Italy.
  • The price of the same wedding dress can vary per bridal fashion store. Do research in advance .. and possibly also look over the border (Belgium).

Step by step looking

Find out what type of wedding dress you like best. What brands have these type of dresses in their collection? Which bridal fashions have these brands in the range? Google to the service of these bridal fashion shops. Get on with the people you feel comfortable with!
