As wedding planner I would like to share with you the inspiration that I (a.k.a. het Bruidsmeisje) think are going to be trends in 2013!<\/p>\n

  1. Keeping it Colourful
    \n<\/strong>More and more often bridal couples are choosing unusual colours, instead of the ubiquitous fuchsia pink or bold purple. So try to think outside of the box. For a romantic look people are choosing pastel tints, while for a more modern and fresh look bolder colours such as royal blue are chosen.

  2. Design Down to the Last Detail<\/strong>
    \nEverything is taken into consideration and nothing is left undone. The look and feeling which is being being created dictate which materials, colours and elements will be used.\"wedding

  3. Loose and Carefree
    \n<\/strong>In 2012 this trend was already taking shape, but in 2013 bridal couples are opting for a more casual wedding. A wedding that suits their personalities. Nothing stiff or formal, but creating a space where everyone feels at home. The result is a wedding that everyone feels a part of.\"Los

  4. Liven Things Up!
    \n<\/strong>Entertainment: From an artist who paints a picture as you watch, to a caricaturist, a photo booth, dance and music workshops,     \u201cmarryokes\u201d<\/a>, a boat ride or other fun events. In this way guests get to know each other in a different way than when they just sit, eat and chat.

  5. Custom Made
    \n<\/strong>A personal wedding by choosing your own unique style. The wedding invitation and other wedding stationary are specially designed by a graphic designer. The wedding dress is adjusted to the forms and wishes of the bride, and a bespoke suit ensures that the groom will receive just as many Oohs and Ahs as the bride! And what would you think of a wedding ring that is one-of-a-kind?

  6. Marrying Outside the “Season\u201d
    \n<\/strong>Winter and autumn weddings will gain in popularity in 2013. Warm autumn colours ensure you will have the most beautiful photographs, and the cosy winter months are just so convivial. Another advantage: some locations give discounts, and your favourite vendors will most likely still be available. Special venues and favourite vendors are often the first to go in the months of May, June, the beginning of July, and at the end of August and September.\"seizoens

  7. Inspired by the 1930s<\/strong>
    \nThe look and charisma of the bride is more charming and romantic, both in her hairstyle and in her bridal gown. Like in the 30s, a stylish and elegant bride.

  8. Outdoor Weddings
    \n<\/strong>Weather permitting, the wedding, the drinking and the dining can take place outdoors. One with nature, with a lovely breeze in your hair, sunshine on your bare skin and birdsong in your ears.\"buiten

  9. Wedding Arbor or Backdrop

  10. Emotions
    \n<\/strong>Weddings are full of emotions. Make yours even more exceptional by scripting your own vows, giving each other a booklet with one hundred reasons why he or she is the only one for you, having your favourite songs sung live during the ceremony, having the speeches take place during the dinner (the most intimate setting besides the ceremony).\"Emotie

  11. Toasting with a Savoury Treat
    \n<\/strong>Not everyone has a sweet tooth, and some people enjoy a cheese platter much more than a slice of wedding cake. But would you still like to keep the cutting of the cake tradition? That\u2019s possible, by making a \u201cwedding cake\u201d from little round cheeses. Serve an exquisite wine that complements the savoury snacks set out on the table. A little different, but really fun!
