Too many opinions<\/strong>

When you hear ten different opinions during fitting, it is more difficult to make this decision than when you are alone. Most brides can therefore only search with their mother and a friend or sister. Our advice is: less is more. It is important that you bring family \/ friends that you know will help you and that they are honest, whatever dress you choose.<\/p>\n

\"Bruidsjurk<\/p>\n

Go shopping too early<\/strong>
\nDespite the fact that many couples are now engaged longer, it is wiser to start shopping no sooner than 12 months before your wedding. Once you start fitting dresses, chances are you will fall in love with one of the dresses. Therefore, do not go shopping until you are really ready to buy a dress. It is also important to arrange all other things before the wedding, because the details may affect the style of the wedding dress. For example, the location, colors for the bridesmaids and decorations can affect the dress. At the same time you have to make sure that you do not postpone shopping too long, ordering a dress can take a long time, between five and eight months. Sometimes it is possible to have your dress ordered urgently, but this may cost you a lot of extra money.<\/p>\n

Fitting too many dresses<\/strong>
\nWhen you look at the series ‘Say yes to the dress’, you have probably seen a bride who has already fitted over a hundred dresses without finding the right one. Most future brides fit between four and seven dresses. It happens regularly that a bride fits many dresses, it is more about the experience of shopping than about finding the right dress. Many brides make the mistake of not buying the dress when they have finally found it. This is because she is overwhelmed and forgets what she was looking for. Because of this the bride starts to doubt herself and she loses the faith in finding the right dress. Not every bride experiences ‘the moment’ where the tears are in her eyes and she knows she has found the dress. Our advice is to rely on your feelings. Do you see yourself getting married in this dress when you close your eyes? Although you want to look beautiful, you also need to feel good in the dress. Ultimately it is your own decision, so follow your feelings and listen to yourself.<\/p>\n

\"Maat<\/p>\n

Choosing the wrong size<\/strong>
\nMost wedding dresses fall one or two sizes smaller than your normal clothes, so do not hold too much on your own size. It is more sensible to look at the different sizes on your body, this of course also differs from the style of the dress and the brand. Many brides want to lose weight before their wedding day. Take for sure the size that fits you now. All wedding dresses can certainly be made four sizes smaller, without changing the model. By contrast, most dresses can be increased to a maximum of one size, if at all possible. Stay realistic for yourself in case you fail to reach your goal weight.<\/p>\n
